The Cottingham Parrots

The Cottingham parrot saga took on a new twist recently with plans being hatched to catch the two fugitives.

The Orange-winged Amazonian Parrots have been at large since at-least December 2007 and centre their activities around Cottingham’s St Mary’s Church. They can be located by their raucous calls, often late in the day. Much reported in local press and media for upsetting the vicar by allegedly stripping the gold leaf from the church clock!.

It can't be true can it ?

The latest news in Dec 2008 is that there are no plans to trap the offending birds.
