Sunday 1st
Seawatching from Ulrome today provided 9 Manx Shearwaters, 36 Kitiwakes
4 Gannets. Swinemoor held Common Sandpiper and a 'tundrae' Ringed Plover.
Monday 2nd
A total of 6 Little Gulls all 1st Summer birds were seen in the region. 2 at Paull
Holme Strays and 4 at HIgh Eske
Tuesday 3rd
Residents of Northfield Road Wetwang were surprised to find a Rose-coloured
Starling in one of the gardens. This photograph was taken by Mr Gordon
Clark who observed the bird with Miss Viviento Allanach.

Wednesday 4th
At Welton Waters today 5 Common Tern, 2 Avocet, 7 Black-tailed Godwit
and a 'tundrae' Ringed Plover. In Kingsmill Driffield a pair of Broad-bodied
Chasers was spotted amongst the various Blue Damselflies. At Kiplingcotes
5 Turtle Doves, Little Owl. Butterfies included Common Blue, Orange Tip
and Speckled Wood. At Paul a drake Common Scoter was present on the
furthest lagoon this evening.

Thursday 5th
At Tophill Low today 1 Common Tern chick and Broods from Pochard seen
At Ulrome Manx Shearwater, Arctic Skua, Kittiwakes and Fulmar passed
during a sea watch.
Monday 10th
For those of you interested, a good number of Red-eyed Damselflies were
showing well today at Leven Canal

Saturday 14th
At Tophill Low today Buzzard and Green Sandpiper were seen.
Sunday 15th
A Marsh Harrier was spotted at Watton Nature Reserve. an interesting find was a Wood Mouse under the borrow pit hide.
Monday 16th
A surprise sighting at Tophill Low today was a group of upto 6 Crossbills
in the conifers around North Marsh Hide. This photograph of of a Bee Orchid
was sent from one of our regular contributors. It was taken at an industrial
site in the major city of our area.
Tuesday 17th
A few more records today. At Welton Waters a Buzzard was seen, a Willow
Tit was heard and families of Marsh Tit, Reed Warblers and Whitethroat were
observed. Also present Juvenile Grey Heron and a Great Crested Grebe with
chick. At Tophill Low a Crossbill was seen again along the path to North Marsh Hide. For those interested there is a good display of Common Spotted Orchid
at Tophill. A Few Butterflies and Moths were airborn today including this
Cinnabar Moth. At Leven Canal Red-eyed Damselflies were still showing well.

Friday 20th
A Hobby was seen from the Car Park at Tophill Low
Saturday 21st
Crossbills are still in the area with 10 being seen at Tophill Today
Sunday 22nd
A White Stork spent a while at Watton Nature Reserve today and a Hobby showed over D Res. Also at Tophill today a male Broad-bodied Chaser was
present in the garden of member Richard Sears.

Monday 23rd
At Tophill Low Nature Reserve Crossbill and 9 Siskin from the car park. A nice
photograph sent today of a Tawny Owl which was in a cemetary in the area, it also had chicks.

Tuesday 24th
Crossbills heard today around North Marsh Hide, Tophill Low, where Emerald Damselflies are now emerging this photo was taken today around North pond.

Wednesday 25th
Crossbills still headlining at Tophill Low with 15 seen today
Saturday 28th
Turtle Dove heard in the 'O' Wood and Crossbill in the car park at Tophill Low.
Some good records from the Paull Home Strays area today include. 2 adult
Spoonbill, 2 LIttle Gull, 2 Dunlin, c100 Golden Plover, Marsh Harrier, Black-tailed Godwit. Also here 9 singing Reed Warblers the most recorded for the area.
