Membership of the Group is on a rolling programme. Join in any month and pay your next subscription 12 months later.
Newsletter
Members of the group receive a several newsletters a year. This keeps members up to date with Group news and activities. There are articles regarding the flora and fauna of the local area, some of which are available for viewing
on the website . A summary of sightings since the last newsletter was published is also included.
How to Join
A membership form with the current joining fee can be viewed and printed from this website or alternatively obtained from the members` hut at Tophill Low which the public are welcome to look around.

There are Two Levels of Membership
Ordinary Membership
This level of membership gives voting rights, the groups newsletters and access to
Hornsea Mere hide
Full Membership
This level of membership gives unlimited access to Tophill Low Nature Reserve all year and
access to Hornsea Mere hide
The benefits are being able to visit the reserve in the evenings or on days when the reserve is closed to the public. If you visit more than eight times a year then you will benefit from being a member of the group. £22.50 of the Full Membership fee covers the cost of the annual permit for unlimited access.
Full Members must abide by the rules for visiting Tophill Low Nature Reserve.
Members are reminded to follow the agreed arrangements with regarding visiting the reserve. Yorkshire Water grant privileges to the Hull Valley Wildlife Group members so we can visit at times outside the public opening hours i.e. Mondays and Tuesdays and after 4.00pm in winter and 6.00pm in summer and before 9.00am all year. Children under 16 are free when accompanied by a member. Members should sign in the book with the correct membership number, expiry date and wear their card.
Non-members accompanying a member should purchase a ticket: this inculdes wives/husbands/partners/children over 16.
If your membership has expired, then you should purchase a ticket and not continue to sign in. Membership privileges with regard to visiting hours and visiting on closed days no longer apply when your membership has expired.
Please remember to renew your membership at least two weeks before your card expires....the expiry date is stamped on your card. Yorkshire Water will allow a 15 day period of grace after the date of expiry. If you have not renewed after this period membership no longer applies.
Members must park in the designated car park and keep to all paths as designated on the site maps.
Members must abide by all rules and regulations posted by Yorkshire Water on the site. |
